I remember being on the E3 show floor and watching the big screen they had playing above us. It was a game that showed a viking who was in battle, with some the most amazing weaponry and gear i’ve ever seen in a video game. I watched, and finally the name of game scrolled across the screen. For Honor.
That has been over a year now, and I’m so happy about playing the open beta on Feb 9-12. I chose to play as the Samurai and it is a game that I could find myself playing this for many hours.
The release date on For Honor is February 14th. Will you be picking this game up?
Here is the first 15 minutes of gameplay, brought to us by IGN.

I’ve been playing video games since I was a wee tot. It was about 7 years ago or so that I decided to try my first shooter, Call of Duty. I’ve been a loyal player for years with the occasional dabbling in Battlefield. I did enjoy Battlefield Hardline, story mode, but a glitch with it on my PS4 put that at an abrupt halt.
The excitement for Call of Duty Infinite Warfare was very present at E3. IT was hyped up and looked promising. As always I went to the midnight release and picked up my copy. It was soon after that I realized that fighting in space wasn’t exactly the makings of good game play. Running on walls, the cheating, the same old simple maps, were just not impressing me.
I decided that maybe the single player game would be full filling. Again I was wrong. There was nothing new here except location. The “rigs” we got to wear but nothing gripping.
Now I was absolutely adamant about not playing Battlefield 1. Even though I was very impressed at E3, I always considered myself a COD person, ya know?
I was wrong.
Battlefield 1 has a beautifully written storyline, an engulfing world which takes you back. The guns are not these high tech blasters, they are the older, real used guns you saw back in the war. The real war, not the one we are fighting in space.
I think COD needs to get back to basics. Back to what made them what they are today. I defiantly think that all the cheating, and if you don’t think there is any going on your severely mistaken, has to be regulated. Really, put people in rooms based on how they play, how they rank. Similar styles. I always get put in with clans who talk to each other, run on walls, have altered guns, and really it just makes the experience, well, not fun.
I still think there is hope for COD. I know there will be another installment. Let them follow Battlefield 1 and give us an engrossing storyline. WIth epic gameplay.
For all you gamers out there if you are a Gamestop patron, what better way to connect with games than by heading to the annual Gamestop Expo, tomorrow in Anaheim CA? It is a really fun expo, not like E3 or Comic-Con where it is more serious, and a lot of business going on. This is truly an expo for gamers.
It begins at 11am and ends at 6pm at the Anaheim Convention Center. It is also right across from Disneyland. After you game, you can go have a night at Disney.
I’m hoping to see a bit more from Titanfall 2. I was impressed with the first game but it really fizzled out for me after few months. This is one game I will be seeking out.
Virtual reality is a no brainer. Of course I want to get my hands on some of it. In particular, Playstation’s Morpheus. E3 was just too hectic to get in for me. I did however manage to do some VR on a Galaxy phone. Loved it.
I’ll definitely be posting on my Facebook and I will recap tomorrow the days findings.
Tonight if you pre-order and download games, within just a few minutes you will be able to playLego Star Wars Force Awakens on your PS4 or XBOX One. Both are available to download and play at midnight EST, or 9pm PST. I happen to be in California, so it’s 9pm for me!
I did play the demo today, it surprisingly fun. I find some Lego games to be confusing, but not this one. It gripped me and brought me right in to the game with familiar characters that I know and love. A great things also is that many of the main characters are voiced by the actors in the films. I think that is pretty cool. With 200 characters, it’s totally going to be worth it. I purchased the deluxe edition. It was a mere $10.00 more and I figure I will want them later so might as well get them now.
I know we had Battlefront come out last year, but that game for me just didn’t have the dynamics in a game of Star Wars that I needed. Lego definitely does.
