Tim Burton’s Live Action Dumbo is A Must See Live Action Film

Poster for live action Dumbo

It seems that Disney is beginning a habit of turning our beloved animated features into Live-Action films. Now I have to say, I was skeptical about a live action Dumbo, but all my skepticism was erased when I saw the trailer. Of course, Dumbo the original animated film will always be the Dumbo we think of when we think of Dumbo. It’s hard to believe that the original Dumbo was released On October 23, 1941.

Original animated Dumbo

Dumbo is a cute yet sad story. Dumbo himself is very cute, but what he goes through is at times heartbreaking. Dumbo does find himself with some talent, ending up in a circus. It wasn’t until the day a group of children discover that the clown painted baby elephant could fly due to his overly large ears. This ability just astounds the everyone, including the crowd.

Here is the Trailer:

Can the live action Dumbo live up to its original from 1941, with a budget of $950,000 and a box office take in of 1.6 million for its time, it did pretty well. It 2017, it was chosen to be preserve in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being “historically, culturally, and aesthetically significant. Thats a pretty impressive honor.

At Disneyland in Anaheim California, you can see an exhibit of Dumbo right now, however it focus’s on the new live action film that is to be released March 29, 2019. The live action Dumbo stars Eva Green, Collin Farrel, Michael Keaton and Danny Devito to name a few.

Here are some photos I took of the exhibit at Disneyland in Anaheim California. There is much more to this exhibit, which you can find in Disneyana.

SpiderMan Into The Universe

Spiderman: Into the Universe was a unique surprise. It is a animation version of our favorite Spidey character and it didn’t disappoint. I must say if you haven’t seen it already, now is the time. Sony Pictures has even given us readers a surprise by posting the complete 132 page script online. Click here if you’d like to read the script. I think that is a great idea.

It was refreshing to have a new take on such a great character. Spiderman was voiced by Chris Pine, Lily Tomlin as Aunt May and Hailee Steinfield as Gwen Stacy to name a few. Yes this was animated but the cast was wonderful, and I have only touched on a few. Hailee Steinfield you may most recently remember from the newly released Bumblebee movie that came out before Christmas.

The official trailer of Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse

Spiderman: Into the Universe is definitely a film for all Spiderman fans alike, and even if you aren’t that huge of a Spiderman fan I highly recommend checking this one out. One might wonder, is there a Stan Lee cameo? I’ll let you find that out for yourself. In the mean time, check out the film.
