There have been rumors that Robert Pattinson would be replacing Ben Affleck as Batman. I think one thing wrong with thinking that is, he is in no way replacing Ben Affleck. Robert Pattinson would be a completely different era of Batman’s life. If you want to replace Ben Affleck, find someone closer to his age. This is my personal opinion.
I came into the Batman franchise with Christian Bale. Yes, I’d consider him “my Batman”. Prior to that I didn’t watch many of the movies that came before them.
One noticeable feature that Batman has in the films is his mouth. I’ve always noticed that the way he speaks, the way he looks when he speaks sticks out from other super heroes. Robert Pattinson has that type of uniqueness in his mouth that he could possibly wear the mask and be a believable Batman.
Robert Pattison also has the looks to be a solid looking Bruce Wayne. Of course, a younger Bruce Wayne. Now don’t get me wrong, at one point in my life I was an absolute die hard Twilight Fan. Robert Pattinson will always be Edward Cullen. We know that about him. Yet we as a viewer cannot block them into a certain character. People grow older, franchises end. New ones begin. If he is truly being considered, I will give him a chance. Robert Pattinson, if you have had a chance to watch his other films, is a solid, believable actor and can fill many roles. Batman would be no different.
Only time will tell who will end up playing Batman, if they are going for the younger, he is a good choice. True fans will give him a chance or whomever they chose to cast. Along with the casting, a great storyline is necessary to make it work.
Today I went to see Batman v Superman and it exceeded every expectation that I had going in to it. That is the one thing about reading early reviews, you can’t always believe someone else’s opinion on whether something is good or bad.
I for one have an excellent opinion of Batman v Superman. Do keep in mind I am not a super fan of Batman or Superman, but this film had definitely turned my head.
Ben Affleck absolutely is Bruce Wayne. From the looks, to the voice to his whole persona. I think he embodied what it meant to be the batman and did it well. This was a darker side of batman that we saw this time, and I loved it.
Superman is well, superman. However there was a turning point where he realizes that he is living in a different world than his father and that things can’t always be the same. At times you have to leave behind your clean cut actions in favor of some more sinister thought and actions.. It was at that moment that I knew he would become a character I would like.
Lex Luthor is the instigator in the film. Pitting The Bat against Superman. One of the most amazing fight scenes ensued, It looked great on the camera.. Luther is a diabolic anti social twerp. Smart lines were written for Jesse Eisenberg that for sure.
It’s once they realize that they need to come together to save Clarks mother. Batman and Superman make an amazing team. Especially when they add a one Diana Prince AKA Wonder Woman into the mix.
Wonder woman blew me away. Her power and her might along with her sexy elegance make her a deadly weapon. Her outfit was great, and her fighting skills were amazing. Fought like a true Amazon princess.
There is so much more to say about this film. I am going to go see the film a few more times and hopefully will give a much better detail of the film.
In just a couple days we will be able to watch, I mean, indulge into the world of Superman v Batman. This is a film I’ve personally been waiting quite some time for. At first I was a bit apprehensive about having Ben Affleck as Batman, but that has now turned into a general excitement. Ben really did grow on me, at least from the trailers.
The trailers have been giving us just enough to want to see the film even more than we even realize it. My first realization of this was when Wonder Woman showed up with her shield and seemingly saved Batman and Superman unexpectedly. That part was pretty awesome.
I look forward to seeing Jesse Eisenberg as Luther. He has a speech pattern about how him that just portrays a good “bad” guy. I’ve always felt that way about him.
This movie in my opinion is going to open my eyes to a world that I rarely look into. I read comics yes, but I really haven’t been to into Batman or Superman. Though I do find both characters being very interesting.
Batman comes out this Friday. I will be watching it on Thursday. Thoughts to come. Stay tuned.
